What I bring to the table
Good design in complex spaces requires two things that don't always coexist: the patience to understand a system fully, and the decisiveness to simplify it. I've learned to hold both.
My instinct is always to zoom out before zooming in — but I know when to stop mapping and start making. I do the discovery work to set a project up for success, and then bring the same rigor to the design itself. The former ensures the right things get built. The latter ensures they're built well.
Behind the canvas
I started my career in filmmaking, which turned out to be excellent training for product design — the art of storytelling, visual thinking, and crafting experiences for diverse audiences.
After moving to the Bay Area in 2014, I found my way into design and technology and haven't looked back. It's where my storytelling sensibilities meet my systems-driven, pragmatic mind — a discipline rooted in logic more than art, but one where no two design journeys are ever alike.
During different chapters I've lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Spain, and Colombia — but these days you can find me in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
